July 20, 2008. A tragic accident changed the life of Claire, a 15 year-old high school sophomore, and her family forever. Claire had several life threatening injuries and was in a coma for several weeks. She did emerge from the coma but is going through the stages of recovery. I have a deep personal connection to Claire and her family as her mom is my good friend and neighbor here in Windward. Debra and I have served on the Windward Women's Club Board for several years and Claire has even watched Ashlyn for me during a board meeting at the last minute! We love them so much! It has been so amazing to see the outpouring of support for the Stewart Family but I knew that there was something more that I could personally do to help! I literally dreamed up the idea to create bows that Claire would approve of - at least with the colors - and then offer them as a "Claire's Collection". Proceeds from items purchased in the collection would go towards Claire's Trust. So I present the first of the hair accessories for Claire's Collection. Thank you so much for your support! |
